September 2024 Applications
All school admissions are decided according to criteria set by Cheshire East Local Authority. Admissions are administered centrally. Full details of how to apply for a school place can be accessed via the link below.

Cheshire East has a single admission date. All children reaching the age of 5 between the 1st September and 31st August, may be admitted at the start of the Autumn Term in September of that year.

SPECIAL EDUCATION NEEDS

Most children with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities (SEND) can have their needs met within local mainstream provision. However, for some children a specialist provision is need. IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Applications for Cheshire East schools can only be processed from families resident in the United Kingdom. The only exception to this is for families of service personnel with a confirmed posting to their area, or crown servants returning from overseas to live in that area. LEGAL RIGHT OF APPEAL

Parents, carers and guardians who have been unsuccessful with a school preference have a legal right of appeal. Appeals applications should be submitted to the relevant admission authority.

IN YEAR ADMISSIONS

Applications for school places ‘in year’ are for admission after the first day of the school year into any year group. You will need to complete our In Year Application form, which will be forwarded to your schools of choice. Alternatively hard copies of the application form can be found in the “In Year Admissions” booklet or contact 0300 123 5012.

If you wish to apply for a school in another local authority, you will need to contact the relevant authority to find out how to make an application.
